hummus with pita crisps
Esta receita é uma mistura do hummus da Nigella e o pão pita da Rachael Ray. Nunca tinha feito hummus e fiquei fã!
This recipe is a mix of
Nigella’s hummus and
Rachael Ray’s pita crisps. I had never cooked hummus but now I’m definitely a fan!

hummus
1 lata pequena de grão (410 gr)
100 gr de pimentos assados (em lata)
duas colheres de sopa de azeite
1 colher de chá de paprika
1 colher de sopa de queijo creme
1/2 dente de alho
sumo de meio limão
Escorrer o grão e coloca-lo juntamente com os restantes ingrediente num copo misturador ou robot de cozinha e picar até opter uma pasta.

Aquecer o forno a 200C. Barrar com azeite 3 pães pita e cortar em tiras. Salpicar com flor de sal, pimenta moída e paprika. Levar ao forno durante cerca de 5 minutos ou até ficarem tostados. |

1 small can of chickpeas (14 oz)
3,5 oz of roasted red peppers (canned)
two tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of paprika
1 tablespoon of cream cheese
1/2 clove of garlic
juice of half lemon
Drain the chickpeas and place them along with all the other ingredients in a blender or food processor and whiz until you get a smooth texture.
pita crisps
Preheat oven to 400F. Grease the 3 pita breads with olive oil and cut into strips.
Sprinkle with salt, ground pepper and paprika. Bake for about 5 minutes or until browned. |

Yum! I adore hummus! I've never seen a recipe that called for cream cheese though – I bet it makes it even more delicious!

Beautiful color! Shockingly I have never thought to add paprika to my hummus…and I do love some paprika. 😉

Eu sou super fã de hummus, acho ideal para quando chego a casa no fim do dia com vontade de comer qq coisa que já esteja preparada. Nunca fiz com pimento tenho de experimentar.
Mas já fiz com beterraba e é uma maravilha fica com uma cor linda…

lovely recipe.. i never had hummus so vibrant in colour and added with paprika… too tempted to try this version.. just fell in love with the pics 🙂
